Twenty-two Tnalak Cooperative members completed a two day training on  March 26 and 27, 2025,  at the Tnalak Multipurpose Cooperative Panabo Satellite Office.

In partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Davao del Norte, through the Negosyo Center of Panabo City, the Koopreneur Training Program of Asiapro Foundation once again   capacitated Tnalak cooperative  and community members in growing their businesses. The training program is  focused on enriching the participantsโ€™ entrepreneurial knowledge. Technical inputs on entrepreneurial mind-setting, financial literacy, pricing and costing, and basic bookkeeping were shared and taught by DTI Negosyo Center Project Development Assistants Edsel Siasol and Angelica Diaz.

Jasmen Calo, one of the participants, expressed her appreciation of the training because of the new learnings. โ€œI am very much inclined in doing business that is why I decided to join the training even if it will cost me my payout salary of 2 days.โ€ Calo has been solo parenting her two offsprings, her source of inspiration for doubling her efforts  to augment her monthly income. She  dabbled into various business ventures: selling frozen goods, peanut butter spreads, and home-cooked viands to her co-coop members โ€“ all  for the sake of meeting the basic needs of her children.

Aside  from the technical trainings, Asiapro Foundation extends a loan-assistance program to eligible  coop members with existing micro-businesses. The infusion of new capital intends to boost the expansion efforts of emerging koopreneurs to veer them away from loan sharks and to encourage savings and investment.
